Somewhere: This piece was co-published with Shore Publishing. Mae and I selected a painting of Florians that we thought would translate well in print. The background blue and white layers are printed in silkscreen, made from films that Florian hand painted. We then printed 4-5linoleum cut layers on an AFT that Florian cut himself. Lastly some hand touches were added to the leaves and face.
The Internet: This was co-published with Shore Publishing. The entire background is a laser-cut block inked in a blue black printed on the AFT. We then screen printed layers of both regular ink and ink with puff additive to push the last layers of the image up above the background.
.PSD: I love florins work and love that this is really a nice crossover piece of his- showing a connection between his 2D works and his video works. We printed the photoshop desktop in three silkscreen colors on various papers. At this point Florian took them home and added hand touches to each piece- all unique. He used brushes and a child's airbrush among other tools.
