Ester Partegàs

Both Rootless and Rootless 2 started out as collages that Ester would send to me. After scans were made of each label, the labels were handmade, each on different papers, some done with just letterpressed polymer plates and some were multiple color silkscreen. Additionally the handmade labels were backed with archival adhesive, scratched, sanded, erased, and torn, and finally applied to the digital print used as the background. Each piece is a little unique and very dimensional.
